Birdhouses have been around since the 15th century and have remained popular.
Early designs were made of clay and have been found scattered throughout Europe and Turkey. Mostly their purpose is to provide a safe haven for birds from wild weather and predators, however, they were also used to trap and collect eggs!
We are definitely all for providing a safe and secure home for birds of all shapes and sizes and some feather folk have a pretty specific checklist for their new home.
